Description

Obverse: The center features the Fountain of Neptune, one of the city of Bologna's iconic fountains. Around the edge is the inscription "REPUBBLICA ITALIANA." At the bottom right is the signature of the designer, "U. PERNAZZA."

Reverse: Two details of the fountain are depicted: one of the Nereids on the left and a cherub holding a marine figure on the right. Both are framed. Below the cherub are the "R," identifying the Mint of Rome, and the face value, "10 EURO." Around the edge is the name of the sculpture, "FONTANA DEL NETTUNO," while at the bottom is "2026," the year of issue, and the inscription "BOLOGNA," the city where the fountain is located.
