Around, the inscription “REPUBBLICA ITALIA”; on the left, the name of the designer “U. PERNAZZA”.

Reverse: on the left, detail of the prospectus of the Royal Palace of Caserta reproducing the central façade flanked, on the right, by a detail from the relief on the Staircase of Honour of the Royal Palace Above, the value “5 EURO”; below, the signature of Luigi Vanvitelli and a shell, a motif which is a recurring decorative element in his architecture; on the right, “1773•2023”, the date of Vanvitelli’s death and that of the coin’s issue respectively, and “R”, identifying the Mint of Rome.
