Description

First issued in 1996 and now in its third round, it depicts 12 animals from the ancient lunar calendar. The annual drawings of the mouse, bull, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig are depicted in sequence according to the position they have taken in the Great Race of the Emperor. In fourth position was the rabbit, which is said to be endowed with intelligence, creativity, vigilance and compassion.
